I highly recommend the film "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford". Ron Hansen wrote a terrific novel and I am so pleased that Brad Pitt and his production team did such a wonderful job honoring Ron's story. Yes, there are a few historical errors but, like the book, the film is a fictionalization of real events. "The Assassination of Jesse James" is clearly the best "Jesse" movie to date. This intense character study features excellent acting on the part of Casey Affleck and Brad Pitt, both of whom truly capture Bob Ford and Jesse James at this particular time in their lives. See it!

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of my friend George McCorkle. George was a great talent and his contributions to the Marshall Tucker Band and contemporary music are significant and legendary. I was blessed to have George in my life and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and those who were touched by his music. The world is a better place for George having been in it. Please keep George's wife Vivienne and his family in your prayers.

The Marshall Tucker Band is one of the greatest bands in rock and roll. I strongly urge you all to sign the on-line petition to get the band in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - something that is long overdue. My friend, recording artist Donna Frost, is in the studio recording her new cd and from the songs that I've heard it's gonna be terrific. The title song, "Paying to Play" is dynamite. Donna is one talented lady. Check out Donna's impressive resume at http://donnafrost.com
Congratulations to Lynyrd Skynyrd members Ed King, Artimus Pyle, Billy Powell, Bob Burns, Gary Rossington and the late Leon Wilkeson, Steve Gaines, Ronnie Van Zant and Allen Collins for their recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. About damn time! I'd also like to acknowledge Dean Kilpatrick and the Skynyrd '77 crew - the best in the biz.
